National Symbols of Afghanistan
There are four key elements comprising the National Symbols of Afghanistan. - The National Emblem
The oldest national symbol of Afghanistan is the National Emblem. The national symbol of Afghanistan was created by one of the first artists of Afghanistan in the modern era. Ustad Brezhna incorporated Islamic elements into the emblem, including a mosque, prayer mat, the Shahadah (Islamic creed), and Afghan flags. - The Flag, which includes the National Emblem on it. The flag has changed through the years of different governments, but as a national symbol of Afghanistan it continues to be a rallying point for Afghans.
The National Anthem - see below (Pashto: Milli Sarood) The Shahada, or Islamic Creed - this is all one needs to say to become Muslim. To be Afghan means to be Muslim.
